Assalamo alikom wa rahmato Allah wa barakatouh
In the name of Allah the most Beneficent , the most Merciful


Sufyan ibn 'uyayna said:
"You know Ahl Sunnah by ten, whoever has them he has it, whoever leaves one of them, he is not from Ahl Al Sunnah,"

1- They believe in the Qadr (that Allah created us and our actions).
2- They believe that Abu Bakr first then Umar (are the khulafa),
3- Al Hawd,
4- the shafa'ah (on the day of judgment),
5- and the Mizaan,
6- and the siraat,
7- that the Imaan is sayings and actions,
8- and that the Qur'an is the word of Allah (literal, audible and recitable),
9- the punishment of the grave,
10- the resurrection of the day of resurrection,"

it has also been said by the scholars when asked "How do we know someone from Ahl al Sunnah wal Jama'ah?"
"if he has these characteristics,
1- He never gives up the Jama'ah
2- And he never swears at the Sahabah
3- And he never rises the sword against the Ummah
4- And does not disbelieve in the Qadr
5- Does not have doubt about the Imaan and the Imaan is sayings and actions
6- He does not make any irja'
7- And he will never stop praying for someone who dies from Ahl al Qiblah
8- And he does not give up wiping the socks
9- And he does not leave to pray behind and Khalifah



AHL AL SUNNAH WAL JAMA'AH ARE KNOWN BY DIFFERENT NAMES , TITLES AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Ahl Al Sunnah Wal Jama'ah
- Al Taa'ifah Al Mansoorah
The Victorious Sect
- Al Taa'ifah Al Zhaahirah
The Dominating Sect
- Ashaab Al Sunnah wal Hadith
People of Sunnah and Hadith
- Al Firqah Al Naajiyah
The Saved Sect
- Ahl Al Ittibaa'
The People of Submission
- Al Jama'ah
The group
- Al Ghurabaa
The Strangers
- Ahl Al Athar
People of Narration
- Jama'atul Muslimeen

The meaning of Ahl Al Sunnah Wal Jama'ah exludes these sects
- Al Khawaarij
- Shi'a
- Murji'a
- Al Qadariyyah
- Al Jahmiyyah


What is description of AHL AL SUNNAH WAL JAMA'AH ?
Ibn Taymiyyah said:
"…they are the companions of the Prophet (saw), they are called Ahl Al Sunnah because they always follow the shari'ah, and jama'ah because they unite together without to meet." [Fattawa ibn Taymiyyah v3 p358]

Abdullah ibn Amru narrated:
"The Prophet (saw) said: "My Ummah will face what bani Israel faced step by step, even if one of them approached his mother publicly (sexually) there will be one of my Ummah will approach his mother. The people of Israel divide into divided into 72 sects, my Ummah will divide into 73 sects, all of them are in the hellfire, and one of them is in paradise." We asked "which one is saved?" the Prophet (saw) said: "the one that is Me and my companions."" [Tirmizi 2565]

1- THEY ARE THE HOLDERS OF THE ROPE OF ALLAH
2- THEY ARE THE BEST EXAMPLE, THOSE WHO GUIDE TO THE RIGHT PATH (AL QUDAWATUS SALIHUN)
3- THEY DO NOT CALL THEMSELVES A NAME BUT EITHER PEOPLE OF AL ISLAM & AL SUNNAH & AL JAMA'AH OR AHL AL SUNNAH WAL JAMA'AH
4- THEY ALWAYS FOLLOW THE SUNNAH, THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THE BID'AH
5- THEY ARE AL GHURABAA' (AND AL TAA'IFAH AL ZAAHIRAH AND AL FIRQAT UL NAAJIYAH)
6- THEY ARE ALWAYS BETWEEN THE TWO SECTARIAN DIVISIONS, THEY ARE FIRM (AL WASAT) WITHOUT EXAGGERATION (I'TIDAAL)
7- THEIR SOURCES OF SHARI'AH ARE THE QUR'AN AND SUNNAH IN ACCORDANCE TO THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE SAHABAH IN ALL MATTERS OF DEEN
8-THEY DO NOT ELEVATE ANY PARTICULAR MAN OR WOMAN OR ANGEL OR STONE BY NAME, THEY TAKE FROM THE MESSENGER ONLY
9- THEY PUT THE DIVINE **** (AL WAHIE) BEFORE THE MIND (AL AQL)
10- They stand firm on the deen
11- they stay close with the sunnah,
12- they attack the bid'ah,
13- they are keen for the unity of the Muslims.
14- They reject sectarian differences
15- They never differed in any matter of Aqeedah ever, in any era

Imam Al Asbahaani said:
"The best proof that Ahl Al Sunnah wal Jama'ah, Ahl Al Hadith is Ahl Al Haq, that if you read all their books, in the past or the present, despite different time, and different place, and despite the distance between them, on the aqeedah you find them on the same tune, and the same form, and the same method and the same path, their saying is one, their reference is one, rather if you compile all that they have said and what they have uttered, you will find that it is as if it came from one person, and from the tongue of one man, Muhammad (saw)."

The Prophet (saw) said:
"There will always be a sect in my Ummah, that will always be united and (know what they are calling for) dominating"
