. Verse of the Day
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
Islamic culture requires a man to commence everything with the name of Allah. If this is done consciously and sincerely, it will surely produce three good results. First, it will keep him away from evil, because the very name of Allah will impel him to consider whether he is justified in associating His name with a wrong deed or an evil intention.
Secondly, the very mention of the name of Allah will create in him the right attitude of mind and direct him to the right direction.
Thirdly, he will receive Allah's help and blessing and will be protected from the temptations of Satan, for Allah turns to a man when he turns to Him
Invocation
When the Messenger of Allah would see the crescent he used to say: 'Allãhu 'akbaru, 'allãhumma 'ahillahu `alaynã bil-'amni wal 'eemãni, was-salãmati wal-'islãmi, wat-tawfeeqi limã tuhibbu watardhã, rabbuna wa rabbuka 'allãhu (201)
Allah is greater [than everything], O my ilãh bring this month upon us in security and in faith, in peace and Islam [submission], and in making us successful to do what You love and approve of. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah. * Shaikh Al-Albãni Cautions: Many people face the crescent when supplicating, as they also face graves, and all of this is not allowed as it is affirmed in the legislation of our religion: "Nothing is faced during supplication other than that which is faced during prayer."

What is the ruling on using nasal sprays when fasting?

There is nothing wrong with that in cases of necessity, but if it is possible to delay it until night time then that is more on the safe side. End quote.

In a statement by the Islamic Fiqh Council it says:
The following things are not regarded as breaking the fast: ... eye drops, ear drops, having the ears syringed, nose drops, nasal sprays - if one avoids swallowing anything that reaches the throat. End quote.
